5reasons

Editor’s Note: This post is part 1 in a 3-part series on Getting Published!

Today’s couple is constantly on the hunt for inspiration, and having your work published on wedding blogs gets your business front and center in the mind of potential clients. So why should you submit your work to wedding blogs for feature? Read on for our top 5 reasons!

Word of Mouth

Getting published is like word of mouth times ten. People who may have never seen your work or heard about you before will now be able to thanks to your online feature.

Social Reach

Social reach is paramount in today’s marketplace, and bloggers are at the cutting edge of social media, cultivating large followings of potential clients. Readers sharing, commenting, and liking your features provides social reinforcement, a major factor in why customers decide to book on vendor over another.

Get a Google Bump

Being published on a reputable website gives a business name an extra “bump” in Google. Brides increasingly rely the internet to plan their weddings and the most visible vendors are at a major advantage. Whenever I myself Google a wedding pro (which is quite often)  their online features will come up in addition to their website and review pages. It’s instant credibility!

Join with Like-Minded Vendors

Each blog has its own niche and community of like-minded vendors, and once you’ve found your tribe, you’ll each learn and grow from each other! Many blogs, including Every Last Detail, have Facebook groups for their vendor members, hold webinars and live Periscopes, and happily spread the word of all of their vendor’s features on social media!

Couples are Overjoyed!

Weddings are a labor of love, and while some couples choose for their wedding to remain private, the majority of couples adore sharing their love story and sharing their inspirational ideas with other readers who are planning their own weddings! I hope I’ve inspired you to submit your work for online feature. I’ll be back with part 2 of this series on Getting Published next month!
