It is new software and there are still kinks being worked out and improvements being made. The service levels have fallen off significantly, and I don't feel like the developers and staff understand the wedding industry. So they don't get how things work and what the needs are, which is frustrating since this product is directly aimed at wedding professionals.

I've just gotten started, so I know there are some aspects I'm not fully utilizing yet, but so far I'm using what I really need until I get my whole business figured out.. it's all new territory right now since I've expanded.   • I can respond to a lead with everything - custom proposal, agreement, etc. - within 10 minutes. It majorly cuts down on time. And my lead to booking conversion rate has increased by 20% in 10 days of use. The only reason it's not a 10 is because there are still some functions I would like to see, but Honeybook is great at taking feedback to heart so I'm excited to see the new developments over time :)

With al the junk mail people receive its critical people can see the emails are from me right away and not ignore cause they don't recognize honeybook. If you feel it's necessary to have honeybook in the email name could it be from "sweet lemonade photography powered by Honeybook" I wish honeybook at bottom of the emails want so prominent. There may be other things but I haven't used it much yet. Biggest positive is quicker customer service to my questions and inputting contracts, contacts etc. that is HUGE!!

However, several of my clients are not fully confident about paying via credit card and want to send checks instead, which is fine. Some vendors do not accept credit cards and require paper contracts regardless, so this may not be as valuable to them.

Initially drawn in by the aesthetic of the booth and some interesting speakers, we found all of the HB reps to be super friendly and enthusiastic. Once home and a little anxious about transferring over from our previous mngmt system, we were introduced to Alex Cho via email who was insanely helpful, responsive, friendly while I asked a zillion questions in the HB setup. She sent me video tutorials (which were so easy to follow and informative) but also manually transferred a ton of my existing clients' info over, carefully keeping an eye on little details that I, myself might have missed. We are now about 2 months into our HB experience and everything is going great! I still email Alex with a question maybe once a week or once every 2 weeks and she has responded every single time within minutes (even on weekends)-- she is the BEST!! We are super happy with HB and would recommend to anyone!

  • I was looking for a "system" that will help keep everything in one place, looks professional and saves me time since I am a small business owner working in all aspects of my business. I have been using HoneyBook for almost 2 weeks now and it has made such a difference.

  • I am needing a few more things functionality wise that I believe you all have forecasted on the books but haven't developed yet. I need to be able to collect electronic signatures in person, create and modify floor plans, and send monthly to dos out to my couples are the most important additions. I also would like to have if possible an option for the client to keep a running budget (may be available but I haven't looked for yet) as well as input their vendor info and keep it collaborative and eventually the option for the client to set up a wedding website similar to theknot.com to keep rsvp's online and have helpful tips etc and be able to see in a calendar format the monthly to dos that I've sent and upcoming to dos as well. Several other planners and a few venues I know of offer some of these options to their clients and another software I currently use offers these things but do not offer a well thought out booking process and the extra features you all have put together to allow a client to look at our offerings book and pay all at once.

  • It's been good for getting contracts signed and payments made quickly, but some of the customization features I still struggle to fully customize and many friends who may be interested in Honeybook might be more likely to go with 17Hats because of its accounting capability.

  • It very interactive for my client which I like. My client can get into the planning process of their session with me which I love so I can capture their vision and not just mine. Along with all the behind the scenes boring but important stuff like scheduling, invoices, contracts, payments. All this while keeping everything in one place so I can log in and see everything together with each session and so can my client. That way if my client wants to see something like their payment plan or contract, I don't have to stop everything to find and resend it. I just tell them to log on and they have everything there at their fingertips!

  • I LOVE honeybook and would definitely recommend it to my other photographer friends but would also have to say that one thing that would convince them is if we could add our own "to do"s to each event. So we would know when we send bridal gifts, blog the wedding, do a site visit, etc....like 17 hats does. Not having that feature prompts a lot of photographers to use 17 hats instead.
