My name is Mary Kate, but most people call me MK. I was raised in the midwest and now reside in Frederick, Maryland. I’ve been married to my husband Joe for 8 years. We love fixing up our 1950s brick rancher and traveling. We also have four dogs, which is complete and utter insanity. I’ve had my photography business, Mary Kate McKenna Photography, for 12 years. I also have a side hustle called FrederickWeddings, was recently purchased by the Frederick News Post. I’m a member of several organizations including Rotary. While I am involved in many things, nothing is more important to me than my family and friends. I love my job as a photographer, but it is not my life. I don’t believe much in the concept of “work-life balance” because it truly doesn’t exist. I strive to organize my days and weeks so that both get enough attention. My ultimate goal with everything I do is to serve others. Serving & connecting great people together is my passion. I am thankful that I get to do this in several different ways with all the things that I am involved in.
