Christine Olmstead
When I was 18 months old my mother (a lifelong professional artist and graphic designer) gave me a set of watercolors. The paint set is long gone, but I’ve been painting ever since. I’ve studied art history and recreated all of the masterpieces to learn technique, stroke, and color palettes. I’m a nationally recognized artist with a bachelor’s degree in classical liberal arts. I’m mostly influenced by soothing music and the french impressionists, namely Monet and Degas.
When you look at my pieces I want you to feel at peace, calmed, and hopeful. I want my viewers to know that there is still beauty left in the world, and I hope to inspire others to find beauty in their ordinary lives.
Forsaking the cubicle life, I’m pursuing what I love with the people I love.
Thanks for joining me on this journey!
