  • Log into your HoneyBook account (or start a free HoneyBook trial)
  • Follow all five steps below to set up your HoneyBook Scheduling. 
  • You can complete one step each day or do them all at once. 
  • Just complete all steps and send someone your HoneyBook scheduling link by 11:59 p.m. PST on October 23 to be automatically entered into the giveaway.

HoneyBook Scheduling Challenge Day 1: Sync Your Google Calendar  🗓 

First things first: Sync your Google Calendar. Your HoneyBook Scheduling availability updates in real-time (cross-referencing any meetings already on your Google calendar), so clients only book times when you’re free. See ya never, double bookings!

To sync your HoneyBook account to your Google Calendar:

  • In HoneyBook, go to Tools>Calendar.
  • Click the Google Sign In button. 
  • Select Google Calendar.
  • Follow the prompts to sync the Google account of choice to your calendar.
  • Select your sync preferences. You can choose one or both of the following:
    • Show HoneyBook Projects in your Google Calendar
    • Show Google Calendar events in your HoneyBook calendar

HoneyBook Scheduling Challenge Day 2: Set Up Your First Session   

Next, set up your first session. Session types are different kinds of meetings you might want to schedule with your clients. These can be as simple as chunks of time on your calendar or more specific to your business. 

Here are some common session types:

  • 15-minute call
  • 30-minute call
  • intro call
  • mini sessions
  • design consultations
  • business coaching calls
  • and more

Just set the meeting type (call, Google Hangout or in-person meeting), meeting duration, your available days, meeting instructions, etc. With each Session Type, all you need to do is set your availability and share a link to your calendar so clients can find a time that works.

To Create a New Session:

  • In HoneyBook, go to Tools>Scheduling.
  • Click + New Session Type.
  • Enter the Session’s details:
    • Session type: phone call, in-person, video, etc.
    • Title of Session: Consultation, Mini Session, 15-minute Call, etc.
    • Time zone: which time zone the session will be scheduled in
    • Duration: amount of time allotted for session
    • Window: when the session can be scheduled*
    • Session Color: what color will designate this Session Type in your calendar
    • Instructions: what session invitees will see upon scheduling
  • Set up automated session reminders. You can add up to two reminders, to be emailed to meeting invitees any number of minutes, hours, days, or weeks before a meeting. 
  • Click Next: Availability. Adjust your availability settings.
  • Click Next: Confirmation. Customize the message your client will see upon successfully scheduling this session.
  • Once all details have been filled out, click Save and Finish.
  • In your main Scheduling view, you should now see your new Session listed!

HoneyBook Scheduling Challenge Day 3: Put Your Brand Front & Center

To upload your company logo and branding:

  • In HoneyBook, click your profile photo in the top right corner>Company Settings.
  • In the Brand Elements section of the Company Brand tab, upload your logo by clicking on the Main Logo and/or Secondary Logo field. Images should be in PNG, JPG, or GIF format.
  • Select your brand color by clicking Main Button Color — you can select from the color chart, or type in your hex code. Click Choose when you’re ready.

HoneyBook Scheduling Challenge Day 4: Add Your Link to Your Signature

Make it easy for clients to schedule meetings with you by adding your Scheduling link to your email signature. Just copy your session link and paste it into your HoneyBook email signature.

How to find and copy your session link:

  • In HoneyBook, go to Tools>Scheduling.
  • Locate the Session Type you’d like to share and click the link icon.
  • This will copy the link to your clipboard, so you’re ready to paste it and start sharing!

How to add the scheduling link to your HoneyBook email signature:

  • After copying your session link, click your profile photo in the top right corner of your screen.
  • Select Company Settings from the menu.
  • In Email Signature, click the Edit button and paste your session link where you want it.
  • Everything will save automatically, so you’re ready to roll whenever your settings look good to you.
