Tell us about yourself in one sentence:
I’m Lauren! A coastal wedding photographer living the southern dream in gorgeous Murrells Inlet, South Carolina with my soon to be husband, Eddie.

Your favorite local hangout?
My favorite local hangout is definitely The MarshWalk! If the beautiful views of the inlet and marshes aren’t enough, the MarshWalk also features some of the area’s best restaurants and bars; offering fresh seafood, tasty cold beverages and live music daily! I just love ending the day walking the boardwalk watching the sunset over the inlet… Its truly breathtaking! (My fiancé also proposed there so it will always be extra special to me!)

Your favorite local cuisine?
My favorite local cuisine would have to be a Fried Green Tomato BLT with a sweet tea from Salt Water Creek Cafe!

What’s your favorite thing about your city?
My absolute favorite thing would be living so close to the water! We love spending our days off either at the beach, paddle boarding through the Inlet or fishing off the pier. Its a laid back town with a true appreciation of rest and relaxation. Its as if every day is a mini vacation!

Meet the Leader: Bailey Hutchence

Tell us about yourself in one sentence:
I’m a full time girl boss, big dreamer, and dog mom, forever in pursuit of the next passport stamp + craft beer pint.

Your favorite local hangout?
Duluth has a thriving music, art, and craft beer scene. My favorite weeknight hangout? Bent Paddle Brewing Company on a Wednesday night: Cask ales on tap + live local music? I’m all there!

Your favorite local cuisine?
Duluth is such a foodie town; it’s tough to choose! My favorite go-to on a busy work day is Northern Waters Smokehaus, specializing in house-smoked fish & meats. If you’re in the neighborhood, try the Cajun Finn: Smoked Atlantic salmon, green onion cream cheese, roasted red peppers and pepperoncini on stirato bread…is your mouth watering yet?

What’s your favorite thing about your city?
Our hillside city overlooks Lake Superior, which has this powerful, almost grounding quality. When I arrive home after a long journey, I see that giant inland sea on the horizon & take a big, deep breath. We take great pride in our thriving outdoor culture, and with 180 miles of hiking trails within city limits, you needn’t go far for the next adventure! Duluth lives & breathes entrepreneurial spirit, and I’m blessed to grow a business alongside so many talented, hardworking creatives. But just remember, if you visit in the winter: Bring warm layers & a big shovel!
